About PubSniffers
PubSniffers was created to provide an international directory of English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh pubs, inns, and related establishments — wherever they operate around the world. While many excellent guides exist, most are limited to local or regional coverage, or focus solely on the United Kingdom. Our aim has always been broader: to create a single, fair, and reliable record that reflects pub culture globally, without favoring size, budget, or location. The platform was shaped by firsthand experience within the pub and inn trade, where reputation is built slowly through consistency, hard work, and community rather than marketing spend. That perspective continues to guide how PubSniffers is designed and operated. We wanted a format that allows landlords, innkeepers, managers, breweries, and venue operators to present their establishments accurately and in their own words — highlighting what makes their place distinctive, whether that’s history, food, accommodation, events, or community. PubSniffers is, by necessity, a living platform. Pubs change ownership, management, and direction; some close, others reopen, and many evolve over time. Rather than presenting listings as fixed snapshots, the platform is designed to reflect those changes as they happen, allowing information and reputation to remain current and meaningful. To our knowledge, no other international guide brings together verified ownership, public feedback, event listings, merchandise, reservations, and long-term reputation tracking within a single, neutral framework — without selling rankings or visibility.
